Click here for wine classes now being offered. There are more than 900 wineries in California. Over 50% of them started in the last decade. Wine grape growing and wine making and marketing collectively constitute the second largest agribusiness in California, accounting for well over two billion dollars in annual sales. On the Central Coast, you can see the wine industry's impact in tourism, hospitality, transportation, real estate, retail, fund raising for nonprofit organizations, and the way of life. Since 1997, Cal Poly Continuing Education has been educating people who work or who want to work in the industry, as well as those who want to know more about how the wine industry affects their lives. We are fortunate to have wine industry professionals, many of whom are our own alumni, as well as Cal Poly faculty members teaching in this certificate program. REQUIRED COURSES
